I have continued my education and have completed three years of post Master’s work in Counseling and Educational Psychology.
Clinical Work
In 2004 I began working with clients at the Downing Clinic at the University of Nevada Reno where we served students and members of the community. In 2006 I became the supervisor of the Downing Clinic and helped students to learn skills and managed clinical issues that arose. In 2004 I also worked at an inpatient substance abuse facility where I worked with women who were struggling with substance abuse, many of whom had children in the foster care system. In 2006 I helped establish an agency in Reno where I primarily served foster children and severely mentally disturbed children and adults. I continued to work with these populations in Reno until I opened my private practice in Truckee in January of 2013. Since that time I have worked with children, families, and individuals with many different presenting issues. I often work with families dealing with issues of divorce, developmental delays, and family dynamics struggles. My focus is to help people create functional relationships that lead to more peace and enjoyment of those relationships. I find my work truly rewarding and feel blessed every day that I have found meaningful work that I enjoy.
